What The RTX 5060 Ti Gaming PC Gets Right

The core of this machine is a sensible pairing: an eight-core Ryzen 7 8700F on AMD’s current AM5 socket with a B850 chipset, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti with 8GB of GDDR7. The RTX 5060 Ti sits a step above the RTX 5060 Laptop GPU in the Acer Nitro V 16S, and a desktop card runs at higher sustained power than any laptop GPU can.

AM5 matters for the long term. It is AMD’s current desktop platform, and choosing it means a future processor upgrade can use the same motherboard, which was not true of the older AM4 machines still sold as budget gaming PCs. DDR5 memory and a PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD complete a current-generation platform.

The 1TB SSD is the right size for a starter library of modern games, and there are eight USB ports in total, including two USB-C, plus Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. A keyboard and mouse are included, so only a monitor is needed to start.

The 8700F Has No Graphics Of Its Own

The F in Ryzen 7 8700F means the processor has no usable integrated graphics. Every display output on this computer therefore comes from the RTX 5060 Ti: one HDMI and two DisplayPort connectors. Plug the monitor into the graphics card, not into any motherboard video port, or there will be no picture.

It also means that if the graphics card ever fails, the computer cannot show a picture at all until a replacement card is fitted. That is normal for F-series builds and keeps the price down, but it is worth knowing before a warranty claim, and it is one reason the one-year parts and labour warranty matters.

For gaming the missing integrated graphics make no difference at all, because a dedicated card is far faster. For buyers planning a home server or office machine later in the computer’s life, it is a limitation.

Choosing A Monitor For An RTX 5060 Ti Gaming PC

An RTX 5060 Ti with 8GB of video memory is best matched to a 1080p or 1440p monitor with a high refresh rate. NVIDIA’s DLSS upscaling and frame generation on RTX 50-series cards extend what it can do at 1440p, but 8GB of video memory is a known limit in some recent games at high texture settings.

The two DisplayPort outputs suit high-refresh gaming monitors, and HDMI suits a TV. Budget for the monitor alongside the $1,499.99 price, because the screen will decide how the games actually look far more than the case lighting will.

Limitations

The listing does not publish the power supply wattage or brand, the motherboard model, the case model, the memory configuration (one 16GB stick or two 8GB sticks) or the CPU cooler. Those are exactly the parts that decide how easily the PC can be upgraded, and their absence is the main weakness of the listing.

16GB of DDR5 at 4800 MT/s is adequate for gaming in 2026 but not generous, and slower than the speeds this platform supports. The table lists a 192GB memory maximum, which is a motherboard figure rather than a promise about this build’s slots. The specification table also gives the screen size of this tower as 0.01 inches, a placeholder rather than a fact.

The warranty is one year of parts and labour, with free lifetime tech support. One year is short for a $1,499.99 machine whose graphics card is also its only display output.

Setting Up This RTX 5060 Ti gaming PC

Setup starts with connecting the monitor to the graphics card’s HDMI or DisplayPort output, never to the motherboard, then Windows 11 Home’s first-start setup, Windows Update and the latest NVIDIA driver from NVIDIA’s own app.

Remove any transit packing from inside the case before first power-on if the box mentions it, and plug into Ethernet for large game downloads. Open the BIOS once to check the memory is running at its rated speed, and register the warranty with CyberPowerPC.

Who Should Buy This RTX 5060 Ti gaming PC?

Buy it if you want a current-generation gaming desktop that will run modern games well at 1080p and 1440p, on a platform you can upgrade later, with a keyboard and mouse in the box. It is the best gaming machine in our Computing section and it costs only $100 more than the Acer Nitro V 16S laptop with a faster GPU.

Skip it if you need to move the computer, where the Acer laptop is the answer, or if you want to know every component before buying: the power supply, motherboard and memory configuration are not published. Buyers who want more video memory for the newest games at high settings should look at a GPU with more than 8GB.

Parents buying a first gaming PC for a teenager should value the included keyboard and mouse and the lifetime tech support line more than an experienced builder would.

The Verdict

Scored 8.4 and our editor’s choice for desktops. CyberPowerPC pairs a Ryzen 7 8700F on the current AM5 platform with a B850 chipset, an RTX 5060 Ti 8GB, DDR5, a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, eight USB ports, Wi-Fi 6 and a keyboard and mouse for $1,499.99, with 4.3 stars from 496 owners.

It loses points for an unpublished power supply, motherboard and memory configuration, 16GB at DDR5-4800, 8GB of video memory, a one-year warranty and an F-series processor that leaves the graphics card as the only display output. A strong gaming desktop if you accept not knowing every part.

RTX 5060 Ti gaming PC — Frequently Asked Questions

Answers below come from the RTX 5060 Ti gaming PC listing and its specification table.

Is the RTX 5060 Ti good for 1440p gaming?

It is a capable 1080p and 1440p card, helped by DLSS upscaling and frame generation, but its 8GB of video memory can limit texture settings in some recent games.

Where do I plug in the monitor?

Into the graphics card’s HDMI or DisplayPort outputs. The Ryzen 7 8700F has no usable integrated graphics, so motherboard video ports will not work.

Can I upgrade this gaming PC later?

The AM5 socket and B850 chipset allow future processor upgrades, but the listing does not publish the power supply wattage or motherboard model, so check both before buying a bigger graphics card.

Does it come with a keyboard and mouse?

Yes. The listing includes a keyboard and mouse, so only a monitor is needed to start.
